How to play Muggle Quidditch

Though it is not real Quidditch, it's the closest we could get. Here are some tips you could take into consideration when gathering a Quidditch team.
  1. You don't have to use brooms. Brooms can sometimes be quite uncomfortable, so let the players choose. You don't want to make your team uncomfortable, do you? When we play, we don't have a facility to brooms, so we just play Quidditch like a game of Tag.
  2. If you need players, go for the easiest of options, friends. If that doesn't work, set up signs in school or campus.
  3. Before you play place the Quaffle and Bludgers in the middle. The balls should be slightly deflated for easy handling.
  4. When you begin the game, both teams crouch down from either side of the field/pitch. You run to get the Quaffle and Bludgers.
Note: If any other member than the Seeker catches The Golden Snitch, its a foul and points will be deducted.

Hi There!

Welcome to The Nimbus Marauders' Official Blog.

If you are wondering who The Nimbus Marauders are, we are just a team of 12 year old children who play Quidditch ( the fictional sport from Harry Potter) . We enjoy it very much and play it on a regular basis. Stay tuned for more information from us! Also, if you want to start your own Quidditch team, we have some tips you can check out.

What Is Quidditch?

Quidditch is quite a simple game once you understand it. You play Quidditch on a broom stick. There are seven players on one team, 3 are Chasers, 2 are Beaters , 1 Keeper and Seeker. There are 4 balls. 2 Bludgers , a Quaffle and the most important , The Golden Snitch. Oh I forgot to tell you that The Golden Snitch and the Bludgers are bewitched but in this case there not. On the Quidditch pitch ( field) there are 6  hoops , 3 hoops on each side. The Keeper guards the goal post, while the three Chasers score goals with the Quaffle by tossing it into one of the opposing team's three goal posts. The two Beaters keep the Bludgers away from their team and hit the Bludgers towards the opposing team, and the Seeker catches The Golden Snitch to end the game. The team whose Seeker catches the Snitch is awarded 150 points, but this does not necessarily mean they will win if the other team still has more points after the Snitch is caught.
